CAAP, CIAC, PhilSCA ink deal to establish Clark Aviation Campus

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC), and the Philippine State College of Aeronautics (PhilSCA) have signed an agreement for the development of the Clark Aviation Campus.

In a news release on Saturday, CAAP said the memorandum of understanding (MOU) with CIAC and PhilSCA was inked on June 13 at the Civil Aviation Training Center in Pasay City.

Under the agreement, CAAP will provide technical support to CIAC and implement programs to strengthen regulatory frameworks, while CIAC will share relevant data and information.

PhilSCA will contribute training, expertise, and advanced technical instruction in aviation.

CAAP Director General retired Lt. Gen. Raul Del Rosario described the campus as a forward-looking project that will serve as a hub for excellence, innovation, and training to help develop the next generation of skilled aviation professionals.

The collaboration also aligns with the government’s thrust to decentralize aviation development and maximize the potential of regional hubs like Clark, according to CAAP.

“CAAP affirms its full support and commitment to the success of the Clark Aviation Campus, recognizing its vital role in cultivating a robust aviation workforce and advancing the country’s aviation education,” it said. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
